- I received my s'micha, my ordination, in 2006 (at the age of 59), after 9 years of self-study, from the Rabbinical Seminary International, an unaffiliated "branch" of Judaism. I think I've always been a round peg that others tried to fit into a square hole -- and recently, I've been recreating the hole.
